Installed by default on nearly all of the three billion mobile phones around the world, SMS recently celebrated its 15th birthday and the number of applications for mobile text messaging continues to grow.
The awards recognise the important role that mobile messaging plays in the mobile industry today, the technology behind it and the varied applications that it is being put to.
A panel of distinguished industry judges will select the winners to be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner in Cannes on the 8th May 2008, immediately after the first day of the Global Messaging Congress.
