The 3G video technology is an innovative source of revenue for the network operators, which is only conditioned by the supply of market friendly B2B and B2C services. With the Anny Way Video Platform, the telecommunications specialist MATERNA Information & Communications offers a wide range of video applications for network operators, contact centers, TV stations and content providers.

The multitude of applications is based on a highly-productive and multi-purpose platform, that can be reached with a mobile end device via a video gateway or the IP net. MATERNA has developed an additional Video Dispatcher, which represents the interface between the telephone network and voice or video gateway and forwards all incoming calls service-specific. This allows a correct differentiation and allocation of a voice or data call using a standard service number.

One2Many applications guarantee pure entertainment
End customers can easily reach these services via a premium or a short code. Using a selection menu, they can download the video clip desired or contact a video live presenter. There is a diversified range of products, e.g. live auctions, video dating, adult entertainment, broadcasting of live concerts and sports events or current CEO messages.

Next to network operators and service providers, these One2many applications aim at content providers, publishers, TV stations and companies.

Improved service due to Video Call Centers
The Anny Way Video Platform is applicable for Inbound and Outbound video calls, which makes it interesting especially for Call Center carriers. Contacting the live agent is carried out via a premium or short code. Analogous to the well-known Voice IVR’s, the video platform contains a novel Multimedia Interactive Voice Response, which allows an independent and intuitive menu navigation by the caller.

Next to the classical help desk, it can be applied to sales presentations, medical services, marketing campaigns, training and continuing education offers, travel recommendations, bank services and much more.

Participation TV for more interactivity
Today, TV stations are faced with differentiation and a constant development of new TV formats, interactivity with the viewer being one of the decisive factors. The Anny Way Video Platform opens up new possibilities for TV stations: the viewers can be switched on visually and acoustically by means of their mobile phone and can participate in a competition, voting, poll etc. Their video is shown live on the screen and they can communicate with the presenter. TV stations and network operators can thus benefit from additional revenues through using a premium video number.

MATERNA offers network operators and service providers to run the Anny Way Platform for them and enables them to keep their investment low. Currently, the platform can be used for the following device standards: 

- 3G end devices correspondent with 3G-H.324M as well as
- standard H.323 via broadband connections.

Attractive B2B and B2C services increase the use of existing video compatible end devices and are thus a guarantor for a sales increase in the field of value added services. Those customers, who do not dispose of such a device, can download a video message via a URL, which they receive via SMS or Email. Network operators can also offer their customers the possibility to either initiate video calls with the help of a PC and a Softphone or to receive calls over their own telephone number. This enables even customers without a 3G video phone to immediately use the multimedia possibilities of video communication.
