Mark leads Informa Telecoms and Media's global research teams and activities. In this role Mark is responsible for Informa Telecoms and Media's thought leadership in the converging mobile, broadband and entertainment sectors. Informa Telecoms & Media employs 90 first-rate analysts, researchers, editors and reporters tracking and analyzing the global communications sector. Mark's role is to harness this knowledge and relationships with key decision makers to give clients the information they need delivered how and when is most suitable for them.

Mark's own expertise is in mobile and fixed operator strategy. He is a regular speaker and moderator at international conferences in Europe, the Americas and Asia and is regularly quoted in the global business press. He also conducts regular briefing sessions with major banks, telecoms and IT vendors and operators on trends, developments and changing dynamics in the broadband, fixed and mobile telecoms sectors.

Mark brings 16 years of experience in the telecoms and media research and publishing sectors. In his previous role Mark was publishing director of Informa Telecoms and Media's newsletter, database and reports-publishing business. He joined Informa in 1999 as part of Informa's acquisition of Baskerville, an independent business information provider. While at Baskerville Mark was the founder and managing editor of a series of cutting-edge research services including Global Mobile, 3G Mobile and Mobile Media. He started his career in business intelligence in 1989 as a reporter on two Financial Times newsletters, Telecom Markets and Mobile Communications.
