Situated within Informa Telecoms & Media’s Industry Research division, Gavin’s role in the Handsets & Devices team leads him to examine developments across the mobile handset value chain. He addresses issues including hardware and software components, operating systems, vendor strategy and segmentation, business models, technology and feature forecasts.

Gavin’s current research agenda sees him examining the attachments, e-reader and connected Consumer Electronics markets, as well as contributing to work on smartbooks and embedded netbooks and notebooks.

With over eight years’ experience in research, competitive intelligence and benchmarking within the telecoms and IT sectors, Gavin regularly provides comment to industry leading publications and contributes to a number of analytical newsletters and research. He holds a BA (Hons.) in European Business Administration from Middlesex University and CESEM, Reims, France.
