Ian Hemming

Chief Executive Officer

CEO Ian Hemming, a business graduate from Bath University, joined Informa in 1990 as a marketing executive having previously worked at Andersen Consulting and Pearl Assurance. In 1997, Ian joined the IBC Global Conference Board as joint Director of Telecommunications. In December 1998, Informa acquired two leading newsletter businesses to add to its magazine and on-line database interests and the first UK market-facing unit was formed. Ian was appointed Managing Director of Informa Telecoms & Media Group at this time. Ian has been a member of the Informa UK Operating Board since its inception. An ex Blackheath RFC and Kent county rugby player, Ian now prefers more leisurely interests like golf and cycling.
